Mozilla Firefox - Schneller Seiten laden

If you are using firefox, here's a way to speed it up and make it even better than IE than it already is:

1) Open, or start, the Firefox browser.

2) In the address bar type "about:config" (no quote marks) and then hit enter.

3) Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a webpage at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once which really speeds up page loading.

4) Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means that it will make 30 requests at once.

5) Last of all, right-click anywhere in the field and then select New > Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and then set it's value to "0" (zero). This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information that it receives.

Close everything out, restart the browser and enjoy a marked decrease in page loading times

ich hab firefox schon länger, aus den einfachen grund da ich den befallenen stinkenden virenteppich namens IE (by microschrott) net mehr ausgehalten hab^^

Hatte niemals auch nur einen Virus, als ich IE benutzt habe, was immerhin einige Jahre lang der Fall war.
Ich halte Firefox einfach für komfortabler.

"Viren" hat man da auch selten bekommen, eher Spyware und die bemerkt man sehr oft gar nicht.

Spyware is mehr als lästig, vorallem die Spyware oder RegScripts die ned als Viren durchgehen und zufolge ned vom Virenscan gekillt werden.

Lustig wirds dann wenn dir das Script die Requests umbaut und aus einer richtigen URL ein absoluter Mist wird. Wenns blöd hergeht killt dir das Script sogar Outlook ...
